What data we collect

• Contact information: name, email address, and any other details you provide via forms on our website.

• Payment information: handled entirely by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our Merchant of Record — we do not collect or store your card details ourselves. Paddle acts as the data controller for payment-related information; see Paddle's Privacy Policy for details.

• Course activity: your progress through lessons, exercise submissions, and any feedback exchanged, held on our course hosting platform (currently Podia).

• Website usage data: standard analytics and cookies collected through our website platform (Wix) and any advertising pixels (Meta/TikTok) used to measure ad performance.

How we use your data

• To deliver the course you've purchased, including granting access, tracking your cohort progress, and providing feedback on exercises.

• To communicate with you about your enrollment, including support requests.

• To process payments (via Paddle) and maintain records required for tax and accounting purposes.

• To run and measure advertising campaigns (e.g., via Meta and TikTok pixels on our website), including retargeting.

• To improve the course and our marketing based on aggregated, non-identifying trends.

Who we share data with

We share data with the third-party services that help us run Startupism:

• Paddle — payment processing and billing (acts as Merchant of Record and independent data controller for payment data).

• Podia — course content hosting and delivery.

• Wix — website hosting and contact/lead management.

• Google (Sheets/Zapier) — internal record-keeping of customers and cohort membership.

• Meta and TikTok — advertising and ad performance measurement, if you arrived via one of our ad campaigns.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

International data transfers

Because we use international service providers, your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, the European Union, and Israel. Each provider maintains its own compliance framework (e.g., Paddle's GDPR compliance).

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as needed to deliver the course, respond to support requests, and meet legal/tax obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized. 

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to certain uses (such as marketing). To exercise these rights, contact us at info@startupism.co.

If you are in Singapore, these rights are provided under the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). If you are in the EU/EEA, they are provided under the GDPR. We aim to honor equivalent rights for all users regardless of location.

Our website uses cookies for core site functionality, analytics, and advertising measurement. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings or any cookie consent tool present on our site.

Your business ideas - no confidentiality obligation

Exercises and questions in the Program may involve you sharing details about a business idea you're developing. Submitting this information does not create any confidentiality obligation on our part, and does not restrict Startupism or Gaby Kaminsky in any way from being involved in, developing, advising, or investing in a business that competes with your idea — whether that involvement already exists when you enroll, or begins at any point afterward. We do not treat information shared through the Program as confidential or proprietary to you, and remain free to pursue, support, or invest in similar or competing ideas without restriction. See also the equivalent clause in our Terms of Service.

Children's privacy

Startupism is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
